Foley (Earl Dalaguit Productions)
In the process of making the Foley, I experience a bit of hardship. I realized that being an Foley artist is not an easy job. Its takes skills to be a good Foley artist. Creativity and good hearing is a must in this field. But aside from the hardship, it was fun to do a Foley. Especially when we watched our finished product, it sounded quite real for the movie and it fitted in.
We dubbed some of the lines in the movie. It was difficult especially in copying the actors accent and the speed on how they say the words. It took us many rounds to be able to perfect the lines.
The sound effects was really fun to do. Its amazing that some materials can give realistic sounds of other things. Its like bringing back our childhood like using kitchen utensils for portraying a sword fight, stomping our feet to make heavy footstep sound of horses and soldiers, etc. Syncing the sounds are very important in this matter for the film not to look funny. Editing the sounds also played an important role to be able to give depth to the sounds. With that, the sounds seemed to have more flavor and be realistic also.
Overall, being a Foley artist for a short time is a fun an a pretty cool good job to have.
